Japanese Phoenix ware cup with saucer
SKU: CW55Tea cup with matching saucer in blue and white transfer print Flying Phoenix, which was popular in Japan between 1900 and 1945. Phoenixware was mainly made for export. The cups and saucers are made of eggshell porcelain and are, although transparent and fragile, exceptionally strong.
Marked: on the base of all parts 'Import'.
Dimensions: diameter saucer 13 cm, diameter cup 9 cm and 4,5 cm high.
