Antique Japanese porcelain demi-tasse cup and saucer made in Hirado (Japan) in the late Edo period around 1840. Both cup and saucer are decorated with three medallions, each with a different shape. The medallions are decorated with a Geisha, a running boy and a floral decoration in gold. A floral decoration in gold surrounds the medallions.
Hand-marked in black on the underside of both parts.
Dimensions: dish diameter 11.2 cm. Cross-section opening cup 5.5 cm and 5.5 cm high.
Condition: excellent.
