18th century porcelain rinsing bowl decorated with the strawflower pattern on a ribbed surface. Decorated on the bottom with a flower with a stem with wide-spreading, branched leaves.
Marked on the base in underglaze with a hand-drawn cloverleaf in blue. This mark was used between 1788 and 1800 by both Limbach and Ilmenau. The cloverleaf mark can have a curly stripe to the left or to the right. Limbach has the typical loose style of decoration and uses the wide-spreading, branched petal as the center flower.
Dimensions: diameter 16.7 cm, height 8.5 cm.
