18th century porcelain cup with ear decorated with strawflower pattern on a smooth surface. The cup is decorated in the center with a flower with a stem with broadly spreading, branched leaves.
Marked on the base in underglaze with a hand-drawn cloverleaf in blue. This brand was used between 1788 and 1800 by both Limbach and Ilmenau. The cloverleaf mark may have a curly stem to the left or right. Limbach has the typical loose style of decoration and uses the wide, branched petal as the middle flower.
