Japanese Hirado lidded bowl with saucer made of ultrathin eggshell porcelain. Decorated in Kutani aka-e style overglaze in red and gold with three cartouches with different representations (see photos). Made between 1875 and 1900.
Marked on the underside in red with a six character mark: Mikawachi Nagamoto-za (made in Mikawachi by Nagamoto).
Dimensions: diameter saucer 12.5 cm with a raised edge of 2.6 cm high, diameter bowl 9.5 cm and 5.3 cm high, diameter lid 8.9 cm.
