Very rare antique engraving made by Ambroise Tardieu (1788 - 1841) of Louis Antoine d'Artois (Louis de France), Duc d'Angoulême (1775 - 1844). The engraving was published in 1817 in the work Portraits des generaux Francais faisant suite aux victoires, conquêtes, désastres. Ambroise Tardieu became known for his 800 portraits of scientists of his time.
