SKU: PR25Colorful print from the early 1970s made by Canadian artist Dorothy Francis (1923 - 2016). Her extensive oeuvre consists entirely of portraits of the Inuit, the native inhabitants of Canada. Her work is now highly appreciated and collected. This print was part of an art calendar with prints of Inuit children, several editions were published in the 1970s.
Marked on the print with the signature Francis and on top of the print in printed letters: Kakut of Arctic Bay, Baffin Island.
Dimensions: the print itself: 22.2 cm x 22.2 cm. The passe-partout: 29.5 cm x 25.5 cm.
Condition: the print is in beautiful condition with bright colours. The passe-partout is slightly discolored and has a few folds.
