Onnaing antique barbotine asparagus plate
SKU: AW436Antique barbotine faience asparagus plate, made between 1890 and 1910 by faiencerie d'Onnaing in the town with the same name in northern France. Colorful barbotine serving dishes and dinnerware were a trendy must-have for the upper class around 1900. The plate is quite deep and is decorated in relief with bundles of asparagus and a shell. Beautiful, fresh use of color. Highly collectible item.
Dimensions: diameter 24 cm, upright edge 3.8 cm.
In beautiful used condition, no damage. Some light crackle, normal for antique pottery.
