Deruta Lismat Raffaellesco coffee cup with saucer
SKU: SD747Ceramic coffee cup with dish, made by atelier Lismat in Deruta. Both parts are hand decorated with decor Raffaellesco. This decor is inspired by the 16th century frescoes created by the painter Raphael in the Vatican. Raphael captured a dragon-like figure, the Grottesque, which has since been a symbol of blessings and happiness. In Deruta it is said that with a Raffaellesco item in the house, the misfortune passes your house.
Marked on the underside of the saucer.
Dimensions: diameter saucer 13.5 cm, diameter cup 7.8 cm and 5.5 cm high.
In excellent used condition, no signs of use.
