Late 18th century a large quantity of Petuntse was found in Limoges (France). Petuntse is a mineral that, when added to Kaolin, guarantees the same strong quality porcelain similar to that of Chinese porcelain. Limoges soon became the beating heart of the French porcelain industry. Delinieres & Co, one of the Limogeain manufacturers is known for her high quality and detailed and romantic patterns. Delinieres (or D&Co) was only in production from 1879 to 1900 and is therefore highly collectible.
These four gorgeous handpainted dinnerplates have a romantic decoration of roses in licht blue, pastel pink and soft green and gold.
Base signed: D & Co France.
