Carl Teichert Meissen blue Onion plate 25 cm
SKU: SD1039Porcelain plate, hand decorated with cobalt blue on white with pattern Blue Onion and designed with a scalloped edge. Produced by Carl Teichert's porcelain factory in Meissen, which successfully focused on copying the Meissen tableware lines from 1879 onwards. Teichert porcelain is now also highly sought after by collectors due to the quality of the porcelain and painting.
Marked with the Teichert mark in blue; an oval cartouche containing the name Meissen above a star. This mark was used from 1882 to 1929. Also marked with an impressed Meissen mark and the number 40.
Dimensions: diameter 25 cm.
In beautiful pre-owned condition. The plate has a couple of shrink lines in underglaze which occurred during the firing process before it was glazed. The photos are part of the description.
