19th century footed glass sugar bowl. The base is made of mercury glass. Mercury glass is hand bown double-walled glass with a silver-plated solution between the walls, sealed with a seal in the unpolished pontil. The bowl is transparent, decorated with a floral wheel engraving and a milled edge. Dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century, around 1875.
Sealed pontil.
Dimensions: diameter top 17 cm, diameter base 10.3 cm, height 14.5 cm.
