A pair of silver butter dishes with a contoured rim and a cut crystal insert.
Silversmith: Wolfers Frères, Brussels, Belgium, 1920 - 1930.
Both dishes have the following hallmarks: on the rim of the top the curled letter V, struck on foreign silver that was re-hallmarked in the Netherlands, used between 1906 and 1953. On the bottom; 3 stars in a triangle; the master hallmark of Wolfers Frères, the fineness mark 833 in a rectangular frame and BL 71.
Dimensions: diameter 11.4 cm. The crystal dishes have a diameter of 8 cm.
Both silver dishes are in excellent condition, both crystal insert dishes have tiny chips on the rim.
