Limoges Charles Ahrenfeldt porcelain oyster plate
SKU: SD808A fairly rare Limoges porcelain oyster plate by Charles Ahrenfeldt. Ahrenfeldt is known for its beautifully executed oyster services. This plate from the 1950s is decorated with a print in soft pastel tones. Depicted are scenes from underwater life and shellfish. The plate is mentioned on page 139 in Jeffrey Snyder's collector's reference book 'Oyster Plates'.
The plate has six recesses for oysters and a central recess for lemon or vinaigrette.
