Sarreguemines Minton pattern 216 breakfast cup 19th century
SKU: SD871Antique oversized breakfast cup made around 1875 by Sarreguemines in France. Decorated with the Minton decor 216, of which Sarreguemines bought the rights in 1862. Decor 216 is a floral transfer print that is hand-coloured in polychrome. The background of this beautiful decor is pink. Rare item, especially in this size, sought after by collectors.
Marked with the green mark with the crowned coat of arms of Lorraine, which was used between 1860 and 1922. Also hand-marked in blue with the decor number 216.
Dimensions: diameter saucer 15 cm, diameter cup 11.5 cm, height cup 6.4 cm.
Condition: the ear has an old repair, the price has been adjusted accordingly.
