Teacup with saucer, made around 1875 by Sarreguemines France. Decorated on the inside and outside with Minton pattern 252, of which Sarreguemines bought the rights in 1862. Decor 252 is a floral transfer print that is hand-painted in colour. Highly collectible item.
Marked with the green mark with the crowned coat of arms of Lorraine, which was used between 1860 and 1922. Also hand-marked in red with the decor number 252 and a serial number.
Dimensions: diameter saucer 15 cm, diameter cup 9.5 cm, height cup 4.8 cm.
In undamaged condition. For the sake of completeness; the cup is very slightly discoloured on the inside, not disturbing.
