Mid Century Modern Art Pottery plate, made in Vallauris by Picasso's friend, ceramist Robert Picault. Picasso and Picault worked together regularly in Vallauris from 1948 to 1953. The plate is glazed in a diamond pattern with Picault's characteristic colours of white, turquoise and brown. Dated early 1950s.
Marked on the underside.
